Anyone know bolt sizes for the valve covers, fenders, body mounts and the oil pan for a 1968 cj5 dauntless v6?

Body mount holes are 1/2" in the rubber puck. I think the actual hole in the metal was 7/16...

Body mounts were 7/16 on mine. The sizes posted above are also correct. Remember all threads are course not fine.

I used 1/2 Stainless on mine, got them at Lowes, a little more money but they have carriage bolts for where your feet go. They don't rust, Good Luck

One note on stainless is that quality varies quite a bit. so going to 1/2" was a very good idea. I would suggest ordering them on McMaster Carr where you can get them with measured strength. (70,000psi)
    But a Grade 8 is 150,000psi
    even a grade 5 bolt is 120,000psi

so even a 1/2" mil spec stainless is .76 The strength of a 7/16 grade 5.

I used McMaster's stainless button heads on all my through floor fastenings in my 3B. I'm not sure strength really is that big of concern when bolting sheet metal, or in my case fiberglass. Even with thick fender washers, lowly grade 2 will no doubt pull through with any extreme loading.

I don't buy any hardware from either Lowes or Home Depot. No telling what you are actually purchasing.

Use anti-seize if using stainless :schooled:

Yep. I have actually had ss bolts seize up just threading a nut on finger tight. Went on fine, just couldn't be removed. Actually blue thread locker performs the same function.

Stainless bolts do Gaul without lube. Stainless bolts are not strong unless the are hard stainless, but 1/2" is big enough to hold your body on, I used urethan body mounts with them.

There are high strength stainless steel bolts available. ARP's are rated at 180k psi and are not priced much different than their other high strength bolts. That said, not cheap and definitely wasted fastening sheet metal.
