Ta14 A Shift Rail Removal

Hi Everyone,

Hoping someone can help me with tip on how to remove the shift rails on my TA14 shifter housing. I have removed end caps and removed roll pins connecting forks to shaft. Not sure if I just try to drive the shaft out or if it has to be turned a certain way??

Do you have an FSM?

 

Yes. It does not tell me how to remove the rails

 

yes . look at end of shaft where caps were removed
you'll see a notch on end of shaft , rotate 45° toward middle
shaft must be driven into housing . in order to remove interlock pill
then shaft can be driven back out
