Torque before putting tires on, recheck once tires are on and JEEP sitting on full weight.

With that kind of torque it isn't going to matter much. It will still pull in.

Will be a new experience to find out just what that torque feels like!

Rear wheels on, no problem! Removed both front wheels and backers. Got further faster this time around.

Warn M2 manual locking hubs. Lots of grease in there. Not sure yet about work on them. Read a thread on redoing them, but want to make sure all the essential parts are available. New gaskets at least.

Wheels off. Only the outer bearing dropped out, not the bearing cup. How do you evaluate bearings? Newbie here can’t just look and say good or not good. Or, just replace them both ? If so, how hard is it to remove and replace the cups and the oil seals? And how do you get the inside of the hub really clean? On the left side, backer bolts had real goopy stuff on the end when taking out. Some kind of gasket sealer, maybe? On the right some lighter oil dripped from the bottom of the spindle/knuckle spot but did not pull spindles off. Looks like a couple new axle nuts and the bendable lock washer to replace. Bearings, oil seal TBD.

Brakes. As usual could not disconnect flexible brake line from hard line. Cut the hose part to remove wheel cylinders and backers. Right front brake shoes shot. Maybe there was only a partial brake job 13 years ago and these fronts are original. Part of one shoe gone, the other fell off the plate. Initial needs look to be front brake shoes, flex lines, looked like crush washers on flex hoses at cylinders, new front wheel brake cylinders and miscellaneous brake parts. Maybe get brake drums turned to clean?

Other than working thru the questions in here, off to fight stuck brake lines and eccentrics off the backers.

    Slow progress and continued education.
