2 Hole Knuckle Pitman Arm

So I just posted a WTB for a D30 front end, because that is the end goal for Madeline. I raise this question because she is apart and I am getting ready to do a saginaw power steering swap. My question is regarding the placement of the box. Can I place the steering box in such a way to work with the 1 piece tie rod, then upgrade to the 2 hole knuckle later? I hope this makes sense

 

There won't be much change in position between them at the box. You are looking for the pitman arm to clear the tie rod at max compression of the leaf springs with the pitman arm at it's closest point. This must be done by loading the suspension. Taking the shackles off and lifting the axle won't yield the same results.
