For the life of me, I can’t find a nut to fit this WS washer nozzle. It’s 5/16” diameter, but it’s not the standard 18 or 24 thread pitch. It’s much finer than that, but I’m not finding a metric equivalent (and I highly doubt Jeep used a metric nut in 1970).

Any suggestions? I tried Fastenal and they didn’t have anything…

Thanks so much. I had never heard of “extra fine”, but that’s probably what it is…

Could also be 1/8" NPS, .313 pipe OD, .267 pipe ID, 27 TPI.

If I'm thinking right this is the same size used on 1/8 IPS lamp fittings so you my find nuts in your local hardware store electrical section.

I searched every hardware store around here looking for an odd ball size nut for a mirror I have. I needed a 1/4 28 TPI (fine thread).

Found them on Ebay listed for something on a BMW bike but I wasn't about to pay $7 for a little nut.

McMaster listed them but I didn't want a whole box of nuts I would only use one of.

Fastenall lists them too, but the store they had in Dayton closed a couple years ago and I don't know of another close to here.

Last week we went to the Rural King store to get a battery for our camper. While there I checked their fastener isle and sure enough they had that size nut. They have a wide selection.

I don't know if you have a Rural King near you, but if so it would be worth looking for the nut you need.
