Dauntless Broken Carb Bolts

It’s a miracle! We heated the manifold and would you believe it? The broken bolts came out

 

I happen to have a new timing chain

 

just FYI, the dauntless isn't quite alpine green to begin with.

 

I think I heard a rumor that some people put studs in the manifold to prevent this from happening again.

 

So I’ve learned it’s about as close as I’m gonna get

 

I thought about that. Stuck with bolts.

 

I replaced mine with studs.

 

I haven’t rebuilt the carb and reinstalled yet. Maybe I’ll do that. Did you change material? (Stainless, copper, etc.)

 

I used ARB bolt kit.
