I guess all the older CJ 5s are now Wranglers, The only thing Wrangler I remember in 1969 was a pair of Jeans.
Oh well , I'm old now and it don't matter.
Jeep looks good for its age, correct hood reflectors, looks like original Grote tail lights, Rounded glass, bottom mounted wipers and motor,
No Vin Sticker on dash , but this one may pre-date those, not sure exactly when the dash stickers were first used.
Overall nice solid CJ5, not sure if its original paint, but may be.

 

I think the Wrangler thing is from the book of faces. That’s the only comparable Jeep model they let you list. I think… I don’t have an account but Mrs. B. shows me stuff on the place of market.

Was ready to attend but life happens. Unfortunately, nursing a nasty infected puncture wound in my hand, so can't drive. Doubt anyone missed... but thanks for posting the great pics.

Yeah, but no. Realistically the rust repairs needed are just not my forte. But thanks for the offer! I hope it gets in the hands of someone who can do it justice.

 

It'll always be odd to me how new Jeepers say they have a Wrangler when I ask "what kind of Jeep do you have." I expect them to say YJ or JK, but I wind up hearing Wrangler and asking what year. Still takes me a second to remember that a Wrangler is the good 'ol Jeep. In my mind I think of Wranglers as just "Jeeps" and anything else is "Jeep Cherokee" or "Jeep J10" etc.

S'pose I'm old-brained for my young age, but I'd prefer to think I just don't personally know any real "Jeep people."

 

T.M. I know what you mean, when my daughter saw my CJ5 for the first time her comment was "Wow, it looks a lot like a Wrangler". Then she got a quick Jeep history lesson.

 

It's better than grown *** "Jeep" (aka Stellantis) owners asking me if my Wagon is a Toyota!

 

Oh boy. I've gone 2 for 13 Jeep waves, but that's something else.
