I'm putting a Turbo 350 behind the 225 in my 66 CJ6. Before I do will I need any spacers between the flex plate and the crank?

What flexplate would you use for a 225?

    Would a 225 bolt up to a 700R4?

    Yup

You have to do a search on their site but I found it for $59 for brand new. Hard to beat that.

    You'd need an adapter plate

From what I have gathered, 200Rs came in a dual bolt pattern and were available in BOP vehicles

Common to adapt the Chev pattern transmissions to BOP engines. Adapters are available. There were some 700R4’s with dual patterns but were not common and good luck finding one. All the 200R4’s I’ve seen had fixed tailhousing so could not be adapted. were there some with removable tail housings?

Ok so if the 200r had a fixed tailhousing then any adapter is worthless, right?

Is there an adapter available for the rear of the 200r4? If so that would imply there were some with a removable tail housing. I don’t know for sure there weren’t, just have never seen one. All the ones I’ve seen were integral to the main case. Have you seen an adapter for the 200r4 to a transfer case?

No I was just referring to your post above about Chevy tranny plates to adapt to BOP engines which are useless for 4x4 applications due to no T/C adapters available for a 200R with no removable tailhousing.....Bob
