I've been wanting a summer top for my Jeep. I have a black vinyl bikini top but I wanted something different.

I got this synthetic canvas over a year ago. It's made for tarps and covers for equipment that goes down the road. This stuff is tough, I have bent several pins trying to push them through.

I bent up some conduit for the bows. They could probably be a little different but I think did my best just guessing at dimensions.

My mom just helped me do the back corners last Sunday. They need a little adjustment yet but it actually looks like a top!

That does look great! Took some restoration classes at the Community College and made some seat covers. That was a puzzle I couldn't figure out. Turning them inside out to sew them got me all confused. They looked good, but in instructor got me through it. To be fair, he did most of the work. Not easy at all!
    I'm impressed.

Thanks for the compliments guys. It's kind of a fun little project.

I need some snaps to hold the edges of the top on the windshield and maybe some on the back corners. I was looking last night on the Internet and there are a lot of options. The male part of the snap that I have on the jeep measures just over 3/8". Do I have a chance of getting the right female half or should I just buy both halves. I do have a bikini top that uses the existing snaps on the windshield.

Snaps are common, I've been grabbing handi packs from menards, wal-mart, and hobby lobby.
It should come with a punch and die.
