I have a 77 CJ5. I'm having trouble with the turn signals. The flashers work correctly but no turn. I recently removed the key ignition and replaced it with a push button start. Just wondering if I missed something in the process...ie power to the turn signal assembly. If I dont get this figured out I guess its just back to the good ole hand.......

    First, check for blown fuses.
You must have a master switch with an ON position for your lights, etc. Check for power to your turn signal lever with your master switch ON. If you have no power to your turn signal switch, locate the missing wire & connect it to the IN side of the lever. If/once you have power to the lever, proceed as follows:
Make or get a continuity tester. Put your signal lever in one position and trace from each turn signal light back to what should be a disconnected/mis-connected wire, then hook it to one of the lever out wires until you get the correct turn signal. Do the same with the other side of the signal lever.
After riding hogs for almost 20 years, the only signal people on the road around here seem to understand is when you flip them off. I had some good old ladies who made sure our signals were seen.
