 I got my 74 with a beat-up old soft top. It works fine for the most part, I just need to stitch it up. Any suggestions for stitching one back up? Fishing line maybe?

Now my real question, w/ the soft top came doors, only problem is I have no door brackets to slide the babies on into. Does anyone have a clue where to find replacement hinges? Once again I can find 76 and up easy... Where's the love for 55-75? Please help.

I just stitched mine up with 8# monofilament. Monofilament will lose strength as exposed to ultraviolet light from the sun.

Some people claim that it will "cut" the naugahyde, but I don't see how with a tight stitch. If you're concerned about that, use unwaxed dental floss or nylon thread.

I know that I have at least one top kit laying around. Give me some time to check at home & with my mechanic OR try 4WD Parts & Off Road Hardware - Vintage Jeeps. You could probably fabricate some from thinwall tube & angle.

If you can find something that would be wonderful!!!! I don't have the tools to fabricate, but would be willing to pay for the parts. Thanks, and let me know what you find. :D

I only found what looks like one top hinge from each side.
I must have used the other ones elsewhere.

They are easy enough to fab, if you bring one to a shop.

    write me @ gonzojohn@ISP.com or onerarebird@hotmail.com
& I'll get these out to you.
