heater firewall factory holes

    Up till now my cj didn't have a heater, so now I have a factory unit from an ECJ. Anybody have any pics and dimensions of the factory holes so I can cut the virgin firewall? dimensions from the top or the side. email pics to me at willysnut@numail.org

    You don't just have a plate covering it? My '62 didn't have a heater, there was a plate bolted over the hole.

    Don't have the dimensions, and I'm afraid that I don't have a square on
    shot. I can try to get the dimensions of the mounting screws, but may be hampered by how they are placed. This is assuming that you are asking about the driver's side heater. Mine's a '57....

    Yes it is a driver's side heater. What's the measurement from the grill support angle and from the lip of the hood I just don't want to have any clearance problems with the column.

    Jeff, pm me your postal, I'll send ya a template of these holes from my '61. Top one is rectangular, bottom is, well, odd shaped.
