Came across this local ad and would like to know if these axels will work on my 1968 CJ5. What work is involved and will they just bolt up? Will I need to modify my drive shafts? UWOP but does the price sound fair?

    Tnx

    with a lot of work....
spring perches will need to be relocated
    they are a L O T wider than the CJ5
front axle will be closed knuckle...like D27 is
longer tie rods will be needed due to increased width
6 lug wheels need to be obtained
front axle will be pass side drop- same as D27
rear axle will be almost centered-used with D20 t/case from that year truck
time and money....yea, they can work....
the axle ratio may/may not be what your looking for
    what are they btw ?

70s J20 leaves a lot of seller wiggle room....
73 and prior would be closed knuckle
74 and later would be open knuckle

ACK! Dunno what the axel ratio is but looks like this mod ain't for me. Extensive fabrication seems to lose my interest quick. R)

Thanks for the lesson boss.
