When I bought my '66 CJ-5. it didn't have any heater in it at all. After reading and researching, I thought I should scrap any idea of getting the factory unit and going aftermarket. All that has been done, I bought one from HeaterCraft and it is in with the exception of the heater hoses.

Stupid question here, where are the ports on the engine for the heater core? I found one that had been blocked off on the water pump but the other one eludes me. Is it at the intake manifold where my mechanical water temp gauge is connected or is it elsewhere? The port where my gauge is hooked up is on the passenger side of the engine just below the carb.

    Thanks for your help.

The other one should be on the back of the intake on the passenger side, right beside the cylinder head.

I couldn't tell you if it is all factory or not. I have owned this for nearly 6 months now after searching years for.

The heater install is on track. Didn't get the heater hoses connected yet but I did find my other connection point, thanks. Defroster and vent hooked up, fan works great. Should be a solid performer this winter.
