Verynice. That is the same way i did mine. I also added a spreader towards the bottom that connects the rear hoop to the middle hoop down bar. Just to gusset it a bit. Yup, got to keep the children safe. :) Lookni good!!

Looks good...do you have your own tube bender?

I also wonder...are the diagonal bars really needed now? I had originally intended a similar design on SSDutch - just bigger to fill the extra CJ6 space, but in the end left the diagonals out. Sure is nice having that visibility and access to the backseat...

Looks good. I need to do the same.

I saw an article where a guy took a roll bar from a 92 - 95 YJ and installed it in his CJ-7. This provided the same (similar) protection to the rear passengers and looked good. Not sure if it would work on a CJ-5 but I was thinking of looking into it.

no, dont have my own bender mike ( dream, drool) i took a piece of pipe to a local shop owend by a buddy, he bent it up for $5 a bend:) i did the rest. i used the mill at work with a hole saw to notch the kickers and then welded it all up. as far as the diagonal kickers............. i dont know, i guess they probably arnt really needed, was gonna leave them in though. help keep flailing arms in????????

How about a sticky for rollcage pics similar to the steering conversion? There seems to be alot of good ideas for cages and rollover protection.

I was thinking of using an old front hoop I have for adding to the back of my cage. Good idea.

It's a valid thought. I've looked into netting and limiting straps like the racers use for the kids in the backseat.

Stay tuned - a better idea is in the works..;)

Here is my add on. I used three connecting bars on the top, and one one the side to connect the rear hoop to the original downbar.
