What to do? Decisions.........

    Ok guys, I have a decision. I just found out I have a 231 evenfire in my cj. I just got hooked up with an sm420 and also got an AA adapter for the transfer case on ebay brand new for less than half the cost. My decision is to either use this motor or swap in a healthy v8 chevy that I already have sitting on a project 55 chevy thats on the back burner. I dont intend to use this chevy engine in the 55 so what do you guys think? 231 or 350? I have both bell housings for either and I have an aluminum radiator that will work with both. I also have a newer grill that will move the radiator forward. I'm in the process of rebuilding the sm420 as we speak. 231 or 350?

    231....lighter, easier to cool, more room under hood to work, less mods to be made all around, harder to break drivetrain parts, etc, etc. Unless you are just a speed freak, then the 231 will do anything you need it to unless your running larger tires....

    Not sure what you expected from the Early CJ5 and Dauntless V6 board...;)

    I'd run the V6 as well. The rest of your build is very sano...and the 6 fits in perfectly with it (keep the 6 in the 6...;)). You can always hot-rod the 231 for more power if need be.

    I'd keep the 231
