Does anyone have a pic of what the front drive line looks like or can you explain the front drive line on a 60's Jeepster with a V6 and an auto trans?

I'm building a CJ6 with a dauntless and a TH350 and I hear that the Jeepster had some kind of two piece set up to help with clearance issues of the auto trans. Rear drive line is not an issue but the front is slightly in question.

I'm at work right now, might get a pic tomorrow. It's got a carrier bearing in the middle. Been a long time since I've looked at it. I believe the engine was also offset to the driver's side for clearance. Don't hold me to that, there should be some info in the archives to search.

Checked the archives, and yup, the engine is offset. I'll try to remember the pics tomorrow.

    Mike,
I'd love to send you some to post but I'm challenged enough to not be able to attach any here. At least to an email through ECJ!

    Hi,
I have this set up in my 68' w/ 225+400TH trans see attach.
It is from a 70' or 71' Jeepster Commando I think.

Thanks Josh, I'll start looking for one. Funny thing with these, it looks like if the bearing goes bad you need the whole shaft.
