I was preparing to change the oil seals and in taking them off, differential oil drained out. Per my factory manual, I thought I was supposed to use NGLI u-joint grease in there. What's right?

I was told (by Old-Old-Old :) jeep guy) just to use the standard grease (you get from NAPA) in the closed knuckle D25's! Never had prob yet! and, you dont have to have new/good seals. Old ones should just be fine!! Nuckle-pudding works good also. but, if ya just fill the knuckles with standard grease no worries! It will run fine!!:)

Also, do ya have bendix or spicer joints?

So should this knuckle pudding be butterscotch (my personal favorite) or could other flavors do as well. (ps- I've already got the butterscotch on the stove. Thanks.

See that's another hot topic, most prefer vanilla, but then there's the die hard chocolate fans. Then folks that like straweberry and lemon and the like that feel those flavors do better at lubricating the axle. It all comes down to personal preference in the end. So butterscotch is probably fine.
