How do I bolt the engine on to the stand. There are bolt holes on the heads that I figured I need to attach it to but I don't know what bolts to use. Can someone give me some help on this one.

bellhousing bolt holes, just use bolts that fit through the holes on the block and the arms on the stand

This website is so great. I thought I was going to be waiting awhile for some help but I went and got a soda and I come back and already have an answer. Guess I'm off to get some bolts. Cheers :stout:

Didn't you say you weren't to mechanical? You seem to be doing really well. Good job, way to go. These things are easy to learn on.

Thanks for the encouragement. Taking it apart is the easy part. There are people I work with betting that it never goes back together. Hopefully with help from the guys on this website I can prove them wrong and have a great looking Jeep to prove them wrong. :stout:

Well we're all here for you. Just keep asking questions and you never know there might be some fellow members close by and willing to come by and help. What the heck I love Idaho and ride my BMW RT through there often.

Can you test run an engine while on the stand?

Don't think it would be sturdy enuf - not the ones I've had anyhow. Plus hooking up the starter might be tricky. It wouldn't be to hard to fabricate a running stand that attaches to the motor mounts and supports the rear. If I had to that's what I'd do. Heck you have enough Jeep stuff there you should be able to rig something up. ;)
