:? so here are a couple questions... where is the brake light switch go?( on a 1967 cj5 with 10" brakes) also where is my reverse light switch sensor? i have made some progress in my rebuild... exciting to me... fiberglass body, 7" on 35" baja claws, everything mounted on the body including windshield mirrors hoods mounted, and grill, and fenders, got the dash board in, ignition switch installed and works, wireing all installed and works... just a few little crap left to do, but there seems to be so much little crap:shock:

My 66 had the switch screwed in to the master, BUT the later jeeps had 2 switches plumbed into the lines (front and rear). Also my tranny has no provision for a back up light switch (1966), but my parts '69 and '71 have them located in the rear of the top cover of the T-14. guess when ever I get far enough along to need back up lights, I'll have to manually turn them on.

If you peek down into the engine bay from the driver's side, look on top of the frame closest to you for the brake light switch (or a spot for one). It'd be at a junction where the brake lines converge. Need a pic? If not there, then look where the brake lines come out of the Master cylinder.

You may not even have a reverse switch...if you do it'd be screwed into the rear of the tranny shifter tower. I've got a couple T90 towers that have no switch holes, so I just wired up a manual switch on the dash. :)

Would love to see progress pics!!

Your jeep oughta have one switch, and it is usually located right off the master cylinder.

They put in two switches in 68 and later when they switched to the dual m/c

You really could put it anywhere in the hydraulic line system if you wanted,

Reverse (backup light) switch is in the top of the cover of the transmission on the right side in the rear. Not all jeeps had them, so if you look and can't seem to find one then you never had one.

If the switch is not there you will likely see a flat boss where the hole would be for the switch.
