Novak 1" adapter

    For someone who has done this conversion. How hard was it to press on the three main shaft bushings? Can you just heat them up and they will slide on? Or do you need a press?:?

    I used a bearing heater for mine. I used it for the bushings and other parts of the tranny that are a press fit. (synchro hubs? )

    An old toaster oven set at 250 to 275 degrees works well. Don't try to cook your lunch afterward though!R)
    Ya gotta be quick because as soon as the warm bushing hits the cold metal it wants to shrink to original size again. Nickmil.

    Try dry ice on the mainshaft.
