stock running gear

    hello
    i have a 75 CJ5 with a 258.
    what transmision came with it?
    was it the T14 or T15 or T150?
    how can one tell?
    i'm pretty sure the TC is the Dana 20
    is the front axle a dana 30?
    and the rear axle a dana 44 w/flanged axles?
    just what came stock on this jeep?

    fairly sure the transmission was a t-14
    you got the rest correct, to my knowledge.:JEEP:

    what is the difference btw a T14
    and a T15?
    sorry for the dumb Q's
    all i know is the WWii stuff.

    The T-15 is a much stronger 3-speed. It is close to the same gearing as the T-14. If you can get a pic it would help us ID what you have. The tranny in front is a T-14 out of a '72 CJ-5. The one in back is a T-18a out of a 78 J-series truck that has already been through the short shaft conversion.
