Paint color chart

Would anyone have info on Acme paint chip charts or their relationship with Du Pont (Duco) if any?

 

I just found out Acme is Sherwin-Williams.

 

I have a Sherwin Williams book of automotive finishes , colors and products. What exactly did you need to know? It has 1975- 1980.

I was looking for the original Willys colors for 52, and not having received a reply in five days gave me a chance to do a little off site research (thanks for revivifying my thread).

This is what I found.

The 52 Willys pickups only came in one color that particular year Hamphire Green Metallic. The DuPont cross over code for base clear is B9512.

Also, crossover base clear for 46 CJ 2A Pasture Green is G5163, Luzon Red is RS496.

I will have DuPont shoot a strip to verify color. I hope this can help others.

I was talking to a friend one day about buying paint chips charts on ebay when he told me a mutual friend is a salesman for DoPont. I gave him a call and he said for me not be buy the paint charts that he could find me what I was looking for. He gave me a call the very next day with the info.
