Anyone have any luck finding replacement light sockets for the instrument cluster? I need some more since the old one in the Jeep were missing and the new cluster I bought does not come with them. I thought about going to a junk yard and finding old cars and seeing if they fit the Jeep. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would try a bone yard there should be at least one CJ speedo with light sockets that you could find.

Found 'em brandy new locally at a place that specialized in truck lighting and such. If you can't find any locally, I imagine they could ship if you needed. Heck, if you don't have any luck, I could prolly manage a trip there for you and mail 'em out.
I *may* have the receipt that shows what the part number is if they play dumb on the phone. Let me know.....

    Here it is.....

That's who I bought the instrument cluster from and he was unable to help me with the sockets.
The next time I find a CJ5 in a junk yard will be the first. They all send them to the crusher around here, you can't find old cars in junk yards around here.
Thanks for the replies and I'll hunt around some more.

Regarding the dash light sockets, I think the Cole-Hersee number is
probably the best match to OE. NAPA has a replacement, but it is
plastic!!! Echlin part number LS6225. They do have a metal socket
that would pass for OE quality, but it has an extra wire coming off
the end of the case (to use as a ground on plastic housings)-
otherwise the closest match available at NAPA - part number Echlin
LS6429. This is going off the assumption that your cluster has a
5/8" hole for the socket. And also, I am picky about putting
original looking pieces back on. If yours is just a driver, either
of these pieces will work perfectly.
(Don't mean to offend anyone by saying, "just a driver"!!)

I've got some light sockets laying around from a 75 waggoneer. They look like they should fit. Should be able to find at the bone yard. I'' run out and test fit a couple as I have my dash opened up right now.

Here's a pic of a couple cluster lights from the waggy in the cluster housing. Fits good. Should say this is an intermediate cluster housing
