I am heading to the parts store next week while i am off work to do an under the hood tune up and clean up.

this is my list of parts I have to install

    New Carb
    New fuel pump
    (New coil already installed)

List of parts to pick up
    Plugs
    Wires
Hoses(the previous owner thought garden hose was suitable for the daily commute.
Fluid changes(looking at going synthetic oil)

Any other thoughts? what a bout a T-stat?
should this fix the problem i am having with once it gets warm it dies? Do i need to use a ceramic resistor or could that be causing my stalling woes? it will start right back up, but it is just not cutting the mustard on the idle. I also am going to have the timing checked.

I am going to clean up the engine bay real nice and shinny :)

does any one know where i can get the smaller U-joint used on the D27?
my DS has that U joint on both the Tcase end and the Diff end...I even found a spare Drive Shaft for it, but now i can't find U-joints. I also found a shaft that uses the small at one end and a standard Cj one at the other...

No ideas where to get the smaller U joints?
I know that is a pretty straight forward tune up but i just wanted to check to make sure the F head didn't have any extra needed stuff.

Did you try places like Walck's or Krage for the u-joint? The won't idle problem might be your carburetor adjustment.
