motor mounts -vs- tranny mounts

    When i start off in 1st gear the gear shift stick moves a good bit side to side from the torque im guessing. Im thinking my mounts may be worn out..does this sound right or anything else to watch for? All three mounts for like 30$ but wanted to know if there was more to it?

    my 85 was doing that real bad when i first bought it
    as soon as i replaced the motor and tranny mounts it stopped

    I'd suggest going with polyurethane mounts. I put one in my girlfriends Wrangler and its a lot smoother.
