I saw a picture of an emergency brake conversion in a flattie once that was pretty interesting, but can no longer find the info.

Basically, it used a car type emergency brake lever that mounts between the seats of car. This was mounted about where the PTO lever would go in a flattie.

The emergency brake lever had a solid rod that connected to the standard emergency brake arm on the Spicer 18 transfer case. Don't recall the exact layout underneath and if the rod pushed or pulled.

Has anyone seen one or done one like this? I'd be interested in pictures and what parts were used to create the setup.

My M38A1 had a parking brake set up like that, stock. There might be a pic of that kind of set up in the gallery if not try a couple military sites or google M38A1. Mike
