Started this so I wouldnt hijack Dans thread..

Anyone else have any experience with the RE 1.5" SOA leaf springs?? I found this jeep using them and was VERY impressed by the amount of flex they have http://www.rps4wd.com/attachments/36a2.jpg When I eventually get to that point I want to do it correctly the first time and not mess with having to change to a different set up.

I like my springs, they are great. does lift the jeep up a bit higher than i want, but it seems to have good flex, given i might be limited by shocks, so make sure you do your homework on the shocks. I am running the Rancho adjsutables, but i might need them a little longer, give nit works good for me now and i do not see myself being a rock hound ;)

Did you need a trackbar in the back? or do the springs control the axle wrap well?

no trackbars. the springs seem to work nicely for anti-wrap, and plus i have the antiwrap spring perches. Only time i experienced wrap with my jeep was when i had the clutch riggs and the jeep had wheelhop pretty bad. but that is no longer the case.

how's the sway on it dan?? i knew someone in atlanta who had tons of lex, but looked like he was about to flip going around a corner. it seemed to be the downside togetting picturse like jason posted. that, and i'm following jason's build now seeing as though we kinda both mentioned the same finished poduct a while back and this was on my list to consider.

When i first went spring over with wrangler springs, it was waaaay flexy. I had regular shocks on and when i would go around corners it looked like it would just go over. You could ask some of the guys on the board who were there for that Tellico run, the jeep was scary. But i got a set of Rancho 9000 series shocks and used the firmest setting, but i can loosen them up on the trail if i need. If i remember i also had to add another long leaf to the original springs and that made it mor emangable. With the RE springs, it was alot more stable, with that little bit or lift it stiffened it up.
