Anyone else see "Trucks" on Spike this weekend?

I TIVOed it, and have watched it over and over, but can't figure this point out.

It involves adding a Howell TBI setup to a 258. They added Clifford Performance headers and intake.

Now, the question: Did the Howell adapter plate bolt DIRECTLY to the Clifford intake, or are you required to add the clifford 2 bbl adapter THEN the Howell adapter?


(Second Question which is really unrelated and more of a gripe: Why on earth do they skip steps that would take 10 seconds to explain, which would actually make the show more of an instructional period rather than a commercial?!)

 

Because if you read the disclaimer at the bottom in the beginning.
"this show is for entertainment purposes only and should not be used as a manual for automotive repair" or something to that effect. All of those shows while entertaining are infermertials(sp) for some product or another.

 

I have to agree, I love watching the show but they don't spend enough time in any particular area. Wish they would sell the an edited project video that covered the whole build.

Same reason I quit watching Ship Shape! It went to a 1/2 hour infommercial, where money is no problem.

 

Bingo. Trucks has become a 20 minute commercial for WYOTECH.

Now, did anyone notice how the Howell TBI bolts to a clifford intake? Does it need only the Howell conversion plate, or do you need to use a SECOND conversion plate to convert the clifford "open hole" to 2 BBL, the use the Howell adapter to change the new 2 bbl hole to the TBI hole?

I love trucks but i love powerblock on spike all together. Did anyone watch 4wheel tv on powerblock this week? I'm pretty sure they're doing the complete rebuild of a cj7 and that old suburban towing vehicle. It's looking pretty good.

 

They were doing an automatic transmission swap on their "Cheap Jeep". I just wish they would have shown a little more on the transmission rebuild.
