Does anyone happen to know the distance from the front of the engine to the rear on a 4.3?? Say from the water pump pulley to bellhousing bolts?? If not would one of you guys that have one be kind enough to measure it for me

If no one else chimes in, I'll be back in front of my 4.3's on Tuesday morning and would be happy to....

From the front of the water pump with no pulley on it just the flange, to the back of the engine I got 24 1/4" to 24 1/2". Sorry my eye is not calibrated to 1/16" after a long day at work. My engine is on a stand so let me know if you need other measurements.

Give me a couple of weeks and I will be able to give you measurements on how long from the accesory pulley to the tip of x-case.

yep still gonna run the SM465. 85" wheelbase is still to short for an auto.

Its not going in the stock flattie. The wheelbase is planned to be around 90ish or so inches. Should leave a d-sahft of roughly 24".

cool... I like the auto but its only 3 speed ... would love the 700r4..
the dana 20 with the turbo 350 also hangs down like 5 inches or more below the frame rail in a cj3A not great for wheeling
    good luck...
