    Where would the VIN number normally be located on a '79 CJ7?

    left = drivers side
    from Jeep parts manual

    EDIT: seems I recall should be decal of left side of dash as well

    Thanks, I found it! Looks like the PO gave me the title to his daughters '90 YJ by mistake. :shock: I've been in contact with him however, and he plans on sending me the correct one ASAP.
