Well - I'm gonna have to pull the transfer case tomorrow and replace the seals and gaskets. On new turf here. About how much does that thing weigh?

x2. Not all that heavy, but it's awkward, and extra hands make it lots safer. A floor jack helps!

^ same here, but not a transmission jack....just a jack carefully balanced on a block of wood:

Dropping it isn't the prob, it's putting it back up. You can do it!! :)

And don't forget to pull that back plate and take the nut off of the transmission output shaft... otherwise no amount of tugging and pulling will ever cause the thing to come loose. ;)
