Hey guys I'm new here. I've searched this topic till my eyes hurt, but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. I've got an M38A1, stock drive and powertrain with a 4" lift. I plan on running 34x10.50's or 34x9.50's on it. The jeep will not see a whole lot of use. Mostly just running down to the grocery store, cruising an old country road, or riding the dirt roads of the hunting club. I've got other jeeps that I beat on so I don't plan on wheeling this thing hard, just enjoying driving old iron. My question is this. Can I effectively keep the stock steering system with this lift and size tire. I know that the Ross system is not the most technologically advanced, and I don't expect it to steer like a new Caddy (I think its just part of driving old vehicles), but will it be manageable. I know I'll need to go through a rebuild of the system and adjust things properly for the lift, but does anybody have solid experience running larger tires on this type system? Thanks for any input you can provide.:)

Yes you can. No it won't be a problem. I'm guessing you found references to "Animal".

Ditto on what Sparky said. You'll be fine, especially since you already know what to expect and not to expect from it.
