Kelsey-Hayes 15x8's finally installed. PICS

    Hi Boyink, well, since my truck is strickly a City truck, I'm not really worried about articulation. But I can tell you that I have no fender rub. I'm also running a 2 1/2" Rancho Lift Kit and a 1" Body Lift.

    Hi Rondog, the only Jeep Kelsey-Hayes Rims that are Riveted are the 15x8's that I have. But I also have the 15x6s and they are not Riveted. the 15x6s are welded.

    I saw a place that has 1/2" spacers, not aluminum, and not the correct bolt pattern. Have an email into them as of tonight.

    thickness of the spacers would have to be more than 1/2" wouldnt it? wheel studs stick out farther than that dont they?

    I would have to agree. You have to have enough clearance. But remember, the holes on the Spacers where you bolt them to the Studs are countersunk. So I don't think that you need the whole thickness to clear. But I guess that you could use washers to bring out the Spacers from the Studs. But I don't think that that would be a good idea, safety wise.

    See PIC. This PIC is of the same Spacers that I have on my truck. 1 1/4" Spidertrax Spacers. I had the Spacers Torqued to 90 foot pounds and used Red LocTite. I have put about 200 miles on the truck since the install of the Spacers and I just checked the torque of the Spacers yesterday, and they haven't loosened at all with the LocTite.

    I bought inexpensive spacers on ebay for $29 insured delivered for 4. They just miss having the 15x8's work by a 1/16th". The gent on ebay does sell a 1/2" spacer too but, w/ a 31x10.5 x15 tire, the tire may go past the body and I don't want flares. Anything longer than a 1/4" spacer would require longer wheel studs or the route chosen above. With the 1/4" spacer you just put them over your existing studs and use them. I did cut the backs of my 15x5.5 so they will work w/o spacers but the 15x8's would have needed significantly more. With the 1/4" spacer I just need to grind a little away to make them work so that is what I am doing. Just FYI. This is for the 11" drum brake conversion. I don't know about disc brakes.
    Here is the gent selling the spacers on ebay. Look for 5 on 5.5 and 1/2" or 1/4"
