been attempting to remove the old sping eye bushings with absolutely no luck :(

    Tried using a huge c-clamp as a press.....no luck.

Tried beating the heck out of em.....no luck.

    What's the trick here?

Got the brand new pro-thane stuff to put back in, but can't seem to get these stubborn suckers out!

Hmmm...methinks this was just discussed a few days ago. Anyway, I used a propane torch to heat the spring and melt the rubber a little bit, it stinks, but you'll be able to get them out with a little effort after that. Don't forget to remove the metal casing that often stays behind in the spring eye.

do what jim (jpflt2a) says in the other thread. it works. instead of a chisel, a drift can be used.

hacksaw removes the outer sleeve, which is often beaten/worn into the spring/anchor eye.
