Well I'm down to the rear TC to driveshaft connection away from a rolling chassis. For the life of me I can't figure out how to make this connection. From looking at my pictures it looks like the nuts are on the inside of the parking brake drum and the bolts are on the outside passing through the CV flange, the yoke flange, and the drum. The only way I can think of is to split the CV joint. Tell me its easier than that, please.

After searching and looking at all the pics (mine and others) I could find, perhaps I have it backward (wouldn't be the first time). Do the bolts come through the drum, held in place by the machined groove in the hub?:v6:

Just looked at mine the nuts are on the outside. the bolts are just long enough so the thread does not come out of the nut much so I think a pic would be miss leading.

Thanks Clay, now I just got to remember if they went in the engine bag or the frame bag. Buying new ones, just got to find the old ones for reference.:v6:

There is a rim on the inside of the drum that catches the flat part of the
head of the bolt. On the one I replace the PO tack welded the heads to
the drum. Most of the welds were broken. I least I believe it was the PO.
Not sure what stock is. They were a PITA to get them set.

^ and if that inside "rim" gets wollered out to where the bolt head just spins when you try to tighten/loosen, then it's drill time. :smash: Upon reassembly, I used a dab of JB weld to bind the bolt head up against the damaged/wollered rim. Rotsa Ruck!
