carb question...can anyone help today

    got a new carb and the only thing I can't figure is what does the top vent go to...in the tsm it says it is a fresh air vent for the choke that connects to the air horn...can anyone help me out with this?

    I believe what you are describing is the fuel bowl vent. Leave it open. It is encased within the air filter so it will be free from dirt.

    yea...its at the very top...seems to point down from where the air filter assm is attached...I think it is the fresh air vent for the choke stove

    found the answer in the TSM...it is a choke fresh air line...provides air that has been filtered to the bottom of the exhaust manifold and back into the choke stove
