I need to find out info on stock axle widths. Does anyone have a good informative site that they use regularly that has this type of info?

What I have is that I was offered a set of axles out of a Jeep that the guy said that they were wide track axles for a Passenger side drop like my Jeep has (63'). He said that the WMS to WMS on them are 55 inches. I think that my stock axles are somewhere around 48 Inches. What models/year jeeps had 55 inch wide axles?

I want to find out year axles would be compatible that I could bolt under my rig without too much modification.

Also, does anyone know if there is a alloy axle kit for the Dana 25/27? I have never really looked into it, but it doesn't seem likely.

    Thanks.

55inches should work fine, your Jeep has WMS to WMS of about 51inches so thats only 2 inches wider per side. Anyway isn't wide trac like 57in or 59?

I contacted the guy that has the axles and he said that the axles that I am looking at are out of a 54 Willys wagon.

Does anyone know if these are the wide track? If so, what is the track width? The site that we had posted previously didn't cover what a Willys wagon had from the factory.

Thanks for all of your help.
