Are all V6 ECJ5's a mechanical clutch linkage?

    The bell on the V6 housing appears to be a mechanical style (with a chain or something) are they all this way? I know some are... I have no experience with a chain style clutch.

    I believe the chain type is an after market upgrade they usually have two types either they are cable operated this was later in production may only acctually be in 71 the cable operated suck they usally week so a ggod upgrade is to go with the chain style you mentioned.Second they are just like any other clutch setup with a z bar and linkage.
