'72 Gauge Lights

    bigfoot910 I Gotta Screw Loose

    I just finished the rewire of my 72 CJ5, but I have a little quirk to deal with. I have checked all my gauges and they work, but when I turn on my headlights, the gauges don't light up. I thought the bulbs were burned out, but when I only pull the knob out 1 notch to the parking light position, the gauges light up. I am so confused, has anybody had this problem before? Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

    Do you have the wires hooked up the connector marked "D" on the headlight switch?

    Maybe you have to turn the knob to get the dimmer feature to make them brighter? Just a thought.
