this is my first post.thanks for help with signal-stat wiring and delco
wiring.I got a new hub that i was looking at.In steve's writeup in in
the search section on disc brake conversion,it says you must machine the back of the hub to get a flat surface for rotor. If i do this i will end
up with only .220 as my thickness on the hub.Is this normal?

You don't need to machine the entire surface of the hub. You only need to machine the raised areas where the lug bolts go to create a flat set of surfaces to mount the rotor to. Or you can buy new hubs from 4 Wheel Parts Hardware for a little over $100 and use them. That's what I did. It was going to cost me nearly that much for the machining on the old hubs.
