    Hello All,

I am trying to find a set of correct JEEP stencils for my 65 CJ5 that is to be painted in a couple of weeks. I have read some post on the subject but nothing recent and was hoping there might be some new info available. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Northstar Willys sells the stencils as well as the decals. I have purchased both from them and they are high quality!

I would recommend getting the decals. That way, you can switch them at a later date if you change your color scheme. Below is a picture of the decal on my 3A.

Thank's for the response guy's. I already have the correct (4 Wheel Drive) stencil for the tail gate. What I'm in need of is the actual upper case JEEP letters for the sides below the cowl. Just thought someone may have painted theirs and held on to the stencil.

    Thank's

One of the members here had some vinyl letters made up that just peel and stick to the JEEP stamp, but I can't remember who it was. IIRC, he had a photo of the JEEP lettering as his avatar for a long time. Green Jeep with white vinyl letters.

When I paint my letters, I'm planning on just outlining them with 1/8" masking tape to start, then masking out farther with larger tape, and then airbrushing them. Other guys have mentioned using a rubber roller with paint on it, and just rolling the letters like you would the dies on an old printing press.

If I can get my hands on a Clean shot of the JEEP lettering you are talking about, I can take care of it for you.

We've discussed this pretty in depth previously.

From what I can recall without searching right now. Any time the JEEP lettering was any different color other than body the dealership painted it.

The methods varied from dealership to dealership...

That would be me. I can go ahead and make a run of jeep letters. I guess black and white are the most popular colors everyone needs.

I also can cut the 4 wheel drive for the tailgate too.

BTW for those who what to paint the letters on I can cut peel N stick stencils too. Of course they are a one time use deal.

Remember if ou paint one on the original has oversprayed edges not a perfect edge.

How's about for the WILLYS on the tailgate too? I like the idea of the peel-n-stick stencil.

It looks like I have a line on the decals from a old run that was made for someone else sometime back. But I would like to buy a set from Wingtime if possible just to cover all the bases. Thank's to everyone for all the advice.

I painted mine w/ a 1" foam paint brush over the top of the letters and it looks original. the jeep company didn't spend a lot of money on graphics these were made for work rather than play.

I gave Floydr the contact info to the shop that was making the decals for me. I think he was able to order directly.

Sorry for the long delay guys. Back online. I can cut either the 4wd for the tailgate or the JEEP for the side cowl as seen in my Avitar. I can also do the willys for the tailgate however I only have a reproduction stamped tailgate to work off of. So I may have to find someone willing to be a guinea pig to try them out.

As for cost. Hoe does $10 for a pair of JEEP and $10 for the 4WD stencil including postage in the lower 48 and Oh and say $15 for all three sound?
