    Two questions guys…

First, does anyone know the measurement from eye to eye (bolt hole to bolt hole) on a stock set of shackles for an ECJ5? Mine are long gone; otherwise I’d measure those…

Second, does anyone know how lift manufactures measure the amount of lift? I.e.: if a line were drawn from eye to eye on a spring – what would be the measurement from that imaginary line down to the spring bottom where it sits on the perch? I’m trying to decipher if a set of springs I have is a 4” or 2.5” set.

Any help you can provide is great. Thanks,

It was my understanding that you would need to compare that imaginary line you're talking about between a stock set up and your set up on a completed vehicle. A 3" lift should sit 3" taller stock though that's left somewhat to the manufacturer, at least as I understand it. I've heard of some companies that measure lift with an unloaded vehicle, one kit I was looking at for my XJ measured with a few hundred pounds of gear so unloaded it was an extra .5" taller.

    I've seen from 3-1/4" to 3-1/2".
