    :) From what I have been able to determine, using various links from this site, is that I have a D44 rear axel. If you can help identify these please follow my link below. Under the pic of the front differential, you will see where it says view my pics (click oh that). Thanks guys:)

    I don't have to follow the link to tell you it's not a Dana 35 front axle. ;)

    There are no Dana 35 front axles. Only D35 rear axles on YJs/TJs/XJs.

    I did manage to find 1 tag on the front (5350863 41-11 3-73) I didn't find any other numers on either axel. Thanks

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

    5350863 = 1972 Dana 30 3.73 front axle

    Sorry Sparky but there are, just not Jeep applications. Ford Rangers/Explorers used a drop out Dana 28 and 35 in the front of their TTB vehicles. But, this is a Jeep site so I guess it wouldn't apply:) Nickmil

    Yeah but afaik not in a Jeep. I believe it was Mercury or Studebaker that used one for a short period of time. The bolt holes for the ring gear are larger and some other differences too. Nickmil
