Hey all, thanks for the help with the previous post about my rear fuel tank. I was reading some older posts and discovered how the original tank's brackets were. The one I have has "tabs" with bolt holes instead of brackets. I'm not sure how the PO got it in, maybe they replaced the rear crossmember when they did this. I'm thinking if I cut the tabs off with a little left sticking out from the tank to weld back on would be what I need to do. Anyone have anything to say? I know I have to be careful welding with the fuel.

I think when I did mine, when the body was on, if you remove the front tank bracket, and remove the bolts from the rear brackets, you can lower the front of the tank enough to slip it off the rear brackets. It was quite awhile ago and maybe I'm forgetting some critical problems that I encountered.
