I am trying to buy a 69 commando next week.
    dauntless 225. Wagon.
    Pics when I buy.

Anyway the tranny has lost 2nd gear syncro.

Want to just put in a 465.
Need a adaptor to the d20.
But I had a brain fart about this.

The 20 isnt very low geared obviously.. so I was thinking ..what if I get a 465 with a 203 and then just get the double adaptor to the D 20.

Seems ther would be enough room with 101 wheelbase...

I would end up with about aa 100 to 1 in low low.

    Pro's or con's ???

Have you seen a doubler adapter for the 203 to 20?

I think they did this over on www.pirate4x4.com , Look up project "wolf" in the tech articles. I believe he had the adapter custom made. IMO the cheaper option is to get the Tera-low gearset for the d20. I put one in mine, and it was one of the best upgrades i've ever done to the jeep. I do like the idea of the doubler though.

I'm feeling generous... thy this link for d20 doubler info...

I've been reviewing all of the doubler options lately for the new GW project I will be starting soon. Need driver drop though to keep things simple.
