prepping the 74 WS frame I got at the junkyard for glass. I had to get creative w/ a 2x4 and hammer as it was bent around the motor, looks ok now:). I removed the motor cover getting ready for paint, it had been gooped up with silicone. Do I need a gasket?, if so what can I use to get by with other than silicone?
    Thanks, Jim S.

IIRC I couldn't find the gasket, and used sillycone as well...

x2. Installed new motor, wipers work now, but as far as I can tell, the gasket is made of unobtanium.

silicone is fine, but you can make your own gasket out of the fiber gasket material available at parts stores in a 12" sheet......
