Tub Crack

    I was looknig at the jeep yesterday. Behind the seats there is the original tube that the original soft top frame would slide into. It is welded into the side panels. Well mine is cracked al lteh way around the tube. I guess have the jeep randomly on its side is not helpful, but is this a common area for the metal to crack? Not like it is much of an issue i will weld it back together but i never heard of this happening to a jeep tub before.

    Tubs werent designed for Side loads dan :D

    I went and looked at mine , mine looks ok but I do have a crack in front of the right rear tire going parrell with the rocker ?:

    Is the tub itself cracked on the outside, or just around the tube? Mine was cracked on the inside lip area when I stripped everything down last fall, both sides, IIRC.

    It is around the lip where the tube connects to the tub.

    I think mine is cracked there too.
