Does anyone know where to find the Spring latch to hold down the under the seat storage lid? Not exactly sure what it is called. I have the door, the seal but I need the latch (spring metal thingy)

    thanks!

    Look www under Jeep parts--

Get one off of a junk Jeep in wreaing yard-

Adapt a simular latch by finding a Junk car or truck in the wreaking yard with a latch/gas tank cover latch/ glove box latch-- or what ever...

Make one or make a latch that is better.

    use duct tape

Both my 61 and the 70 have it like this. I'd bet you could fab a functional piece out of a chunk of steel strapping. Even though it wouldn't be "spring " steel, I'd still think it would work for no more often than it would be flexed.

The flatties are different, there is a "peg" that protrudes from the front lip of the box and then there is a two-pronged springlike catch that traps that peg in between the prongs. I'd try either Walck's or Beachwood canvas.
