I thought I would share some photos of the latest updates I have made to my Jeep. The first photo is of a York air compressor that I got out of a mid 1970's dodge truck. The pressure switch that you see in the photo is of a 1950's vintage air compressor. The switch is fully adjustable and is currently set to cycle the compressor on below 90 psi and shut off at 125 psi. It is also plumbed with a one-way valve that allows the back pressure on the compressor to self bleed. There is also a pressure-relief valve that blows off at 150 psi. I have no tank yet.

The second photo is a front lock-right installed in a D30 front end. Not too exciting.

I had some other photos, but they didn't upload correctly.

    I hope you enjoy.

Have you had any trouble with the airline melting? I used my York 3X before the airline feeding my tank melted because the air coming out was quite hot.

Well it didn't actually 'melt' but it softened enough that it stretched then tore a hole from the pressure. I think I may hard line mine in the spring.

On the discharge line you nead to use a braided steel line because of the heat, It can get a hot as 400d at times.

I am in the compressor industies.
For a tank go down to the Big truck salavage yard and get a tank from the air brake system, also get the brackets.

I haven't noticed any issues with the hose I have, yet!. Probably since I only use the compressor to air up my tires after wheeling, and with only 31" tires it doesn't take long to go from 15psi to 30psi. As soon as I do start to have a problem, however, I will go get a braided line. Thanks for the tip.

As soon as I get some time, I plan on going to a salvage yard to find a tank.
